Materials/Techniques: Circles hand sewn to background using the technique from Ami Simms' book Invisible Applique. Echo quilted around the appliqués. Silk organza overlay with bugle bead accents.
Artist's Statement: The overlay is printed with two Alzheimer’s stories: one story, in black print, is that of a woman with Alzheimer’s; the other story, in red print, is the woman’s daughter’s story. The white appliqués make some of the words easier to see, just as some memories are clearer for people with Alzheimer’s.
