Artist's Statement: Einstein was always my brother's Idol and he was inspiration for John become a physicist and patent attorney. John, like Einstein, reveled in just "thinking". The picture of Einstein as a senior, with the blank stare, reminded me of the ravages of Alzheimer’s, leaving the afflicted with that blank look. It can take a person who is young, old, genius, athletic or sedentary. John graduated from California Institute of Technology, yet his amazing abilities didn't prevent this from happening to him starting at the age of 50.

Dedication: To my brother, John who died at 59; my father, Cassio who died at 74 and my mother's sister, who died at 80. Alzheimer's is sometimes not very age discriminating.
