Artist's Statement: This quilt is based on the photo on the June 2009 cover of Smithsonian magazine by Anibal Greco (I have attached written permissions.) I was struck by the colors and composition, and have made my own humble rendition.
Dedication: For my Uncle Joe Livornese, who worked in South America for the State Department, and died of Alzheimer’s.
This quilt is displayed with Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $28 for AAQI.
