Machine pieced, machine and hand quilted, using cotton quilting fabrics.Artist's Statement:
At first glance these, tiny scraps surrounded by a swirling black and white print seem like quilts on a clothesline blowing in the wind, pushed around by forces greater than themselves. People suffering from Alzheimer's disease are also swept away by an unseen wind that robs them of the ability to determine their own future, although bright shards of their lives perhaps remain within them.
This string quilt was made as part of the Liberated Quilters challenge.
This quilt is displayed with Fast Finish Triangles
This quilt earned $40 for the AAQI.
