Artist's Statement: I used a block from my vintage block collection. It is hand pieced. Maker is unknown. Purchased the block for $l out of a bin of antique orphan blocks about 15 years ago. It is a traditional pattern.
Dedication: My friend, Dawn, lost her mother to Alzheimer's this Christmas 2009. I wanted to do something to honor her dear mother, Lucy, since she was also a quilter. The name of the quilt block is called Morning Star.
This quilt is displayed with Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $35 for the AAQI.
