Materials/Techniques: Black background with a star pieced without foundations. Seminole patchwork for the header and the bottom border.
Artist's Statement: I enjoy making stars that are just a little different. This one is reminiscent of one I made years ago in a form more like a traditional mariner's compass. The color combinations are the same as are a couple of the fabrics although the original one had a navy background. The remainder of the quilt just sort of grew on its own.
