Materials/Techniques: A collection of various log cabin blocks made without foundations from mostly cotton fabrics.
Artist's Statement: I wanted to try to work in as many different log cabin blocks as I could in a design, but quickly found that they must be made fairly small if they were to fit into the size requirements. So there are blocks with all different size logs, from 1/8" up to 3/8" with a few sizes in between. At least ten different type blocks were made from the many variations available. And the colors chosen sort of set the theme and the name, with the trees helping out.
