Materials/Techniques: Reverse appliqué, free motion quilting, piped binding.
Artist's Statement: Reverse appliqué is a technique I do not use often, but it does a fine job adding detail. I like the use of traditional fabrics combined with the more contemporary quilting.
Dedication: My mother and my sister both died with Alzheimer's. While there is little we can do health-wise to avoid it ourselves I welcome this opportunity to help fund the search for a cure and better understanding of the disease. This piece is dedicated to Sis and Mom.
