Materials/Techniques: Assorted threads and yarns are held in place by stitching with metallic thread over heavy Sulky stabilizer. Further embellished with additional yarns, buttons and glitzy fabrics for fun. Additionally there is some couching and free motion quilting.
Artist's Statement: On a rainy day it is fun to pull out the materials not often used and play with them. I have several drawers of colorful yarns and threads and decided one day to see what would happen as I played with them.
Dedication: I remember so well the days my Sister and Mother and I would play with fabrics, touching them, arranging them. Now they are both gone, both victims of Alzheimer's. I miss the days we would play together. This quilt is dedicated to those memories.
