Materials/Techniques: Made from a number of different Batik fabrics and a nice brown broadcloth.
Artist's Statement: The repeat of the block is broken by the center of small four patches of the same design, with the colors darkening toward the edges. The colors and the shape of the smaller blocks reminded me of jewels.
