Evanston, IL USAWidth:
Background is a piece of silk that may at one time have been a dresser scarf. I used it as a whole cloth quilt an FMQed flowers around the figures. When I finished it, it seemed boring, so I added the scraps of thin metal sheeting and some yarn and fiber cording.Artist's Statement:
I am the lucky recipient of many unusual scraps of fabric from a friend who sells ideas to fabric designers in NYC. This is one of the many, many pieces he gives me that end up as Priority Quilts. I pass it on with thanks to Ami for providing this organization to express ourselves while raising dollars for Alzheimer’s research.Dedication:
As always, to my Dad, who motivates all my work for the AAQI.
This quilt is displayed with Fast Finish Triangles
This quilt earned $40 for the AAQI.
