Materials/Techniques: Cotton Fabric, machine pieced. Small, separate pieced quilt is attached to background fabric with phrase comparing quilts to life.
Artist's Statement: This is the second of two different quilts I have made with the statement "Life is like a patchwork quilt, even if it doesn't have a pattern to it, and even if you don't like every square, when you look at it all together, it's a work of art." I do not know the author of the phrase, many years ago I received a small framed inspirational message with it on as a gift; the words have stuck with me and been a good reminder during some difficult times. It is very true of life and quilting.
