Materials/Techniques: Dyed cotton twine and cotton fabric were fused and machine appliquéd to the background and enhanced with machine embroidery.
Artist's Statement: While unpacking I cut some twine tied around a box. As it lay on the floor it reminded me of the tangled thoughts that come when a person has Alzheimer’s.

Dedication: To my uncle, Hollis Grote. He was a man that all admired. He lost his battle to Alzheimer’s.
