Artist's Statement: A “wayward wind” blows through life when a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s is made. This quilt illustrates that by using the roses at the bottom to represent normal life and the variation of a pinwheel block represents the wayward wind that is blowing through that normal life.
Dedication: To my Mother’s sister and my Mother’s best boyfriend both of them in the nursing home she was in – both of them with Alzheimer’s. And to my husband’s uncle who died of the disease.
