Materials/Techniques: Machine pieced using 100% cotton fabric and Ricky Tim's convergence technique. Machine appliquéd turtle and fish from hand painted batik squares. Machine quilted using variegated silk thread.
Artist's Statement: Wanted to try Ricky Tim's convergence technique. The result made me think tropical waters so I added the sea creatures. Gini Ewers
Dedication: In honor of my friend Susan, fellow quilter, who knows she loved to quilt but can no longer get the pieces to work together due to Alzheimer's disease.
