The quilts depicted in this are made from my imagination or possibly in some cases inspired by projects I have seen in books or magazines. The wall hanging above the bed and the one on the chair may have been from something I had seen, but I know I did not have a pattern. I hope if they ring a bell with someone they will remember this is a charity use of the idea. The cat cozy was devised from a picture I saw in a craft magazine probably close to 20 years ago.Materials/Techniques:
This quilt is totally fused from resized computer printed file pictures of quilts and crafts I have made in the past. The stitching of the raw edge appliqué provides the quilting.Artist's Statement:
All of these quilts or pieces of quilts either belong to my daughters or myself. The wall quilt over the bed was made over 10 years ago and I had totally forgotten about it until my daughter reminded me of it. The bookcase is actually a wall hanging made for my daughter with things she likes, including scanned cutouts of her cats and favorite books. On the top, peeking through the greenery are images of family animals that have passed on. The bed quilt was made about 4 or 5 years ago and has been on my bed since then. The throw rugs are from another throw quilt made just a couple of years ago for my oldest daughter. The room seems to be inhabited by cats.
