Materials/Techniques: Liberated star, machine pieced using pastel hand dyed fabrics, hand quilted.
Artist's Statement: A super nova is a star that emits a great deal of energy, then fades away. This little star quilt symbolizes the life of someone with Alzheimer's disease, who remains a star in the eyes of their family, but appears to the rest of the world to be fading away.
