Materials/Techniques: Except for the tan background this was all made from a short piece of border print just barely long enough for 6 repeats needed for the center star.
Artist's Statement: While I was making this I thought of the books written by quilt makers which have helped me throughout the years I have been making quilts. I like to say I am self taught, but actually these quilters have taught me through their publications. Some day I may actually master the lessons they have presented.

Dedication: To the memory of my mother, who taught me early on that fabric was costly and deserved to be used carefully, thinking ahead of what the scraps could be used for.
