Materials/Techniques: Quilt was machine pieced. It is made of 100% cotton fabric. It is made of half square triangles and squares.The batting is 80/20 cotton and polyester.
Artist's Statement: This quilt is made from the scraps of an Irish Chain wedding quilt. It is only fitting, the fabric that was used in a quilt to start a wonderful life together, will also be used to make a quilt to be used to raise monies that will benefit research to find a cure for Alzheimer's.
Dedication: To the memory of my dear friend's mother, Vera Schmitt. This quilt is also made in honor of my friend Linda for her devotion, strength, and compassion that saw her through a time of forgetting.
This quilt is displayed with Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $44.75 for the AAQI.
