Artist's Statement: “Fuchsia is a purple color named after the flower of the fuchsia plant. Fuchsia is used as an alias for electric magenta . . . The first recorded use of fuchsia as a color name in English was in 1892.” (Wikipedia)
The last spring that Mom lived independently, she hung the Mother’s Day fuchsia plant I sent in the tree in her front yard (and then forgot to water it).
