3602 - Rainbow for my Mother

Width: 20 cm [7.875"] Length: 29.5 cm [11.625"] Materials/Techniques: Cotton batik, organza, cotton batting, vliesofix, soluble, cotton and metal thread; shrink technique, free motion quilting and machine stitchin. Artist's Statement: I made a little quilt for my mother who have Alzheimer. In the blue sky I give here some flowers and the colors of the rainbow.

Dedication: In October I was at the festival of quilts in Houston. I bought a little quilt at the booth. I signed the name of my mother (Rinie Zijlstra) on a little purple fabric. I was very emotional. It was good I was with my friends, because they comfort me.
This quilt is displayed with Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $55.00 for the AAQI.
