Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics pieced without foundations, and quilted in the ditch.
Artist's Statement: I tried the littlest basket some time ago, when I was seeing how small I could make a block without using foundations, and still be reasonable. When I found fabric with small apples in it, as well as burlap looking pieces, I designed this quilt and used the technique of the first little one-inch basket.
Dedication: Baskets are traditional quilt designs and give a sense of familiarity to any project that include them. We all seem to enjoy things that we are used to seeing, so I dedicate this quilt to whoever will want to donate funds for research to have the quilt to live with.
