Materials/Techniques: Commercial cotton fabrics; using strip piecing and fusing techniques.
Artist's Statement: Braided strands that are orderly and neat, suddenly and abruptly began to fray and become undone, much as a hair braid falls apart when the end ribbon is released. Then all is disarranged and askew. When Alzheimer's strikes in a family, the ribbon becomes untied and everything starts failing.
Dedication: To the family members of all Alzheimer's victims.
