Materials/Techniques: Hand pieced with Inklingo, machine quilted, narrow binding, 100% cotton top and back, silk batt.
Artist's Statement: This pretty quilt is published in The Inklingo Handbook (September 2008), in hopes of encouraging other quilters to make or buy quilts to benefit the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative. I have many happy memories of hand piecing with my Dad. The blue fabric with oriental blossoms is the same fabric I used in Love & Friendship, the diamond quilt that is the subject of my first book, Quilted Diamonds: Jane Austen, Jane Stickle & Friends (2002). It is the most special fabric in my stash, so I wanted to use it in a quilt to honor Ami's mother.
