Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics, embroidery floss; fused, machine appliquéd and quilted, hand embroidered.
Artist's Statement: After choosing Queen Anne's Lace for our guild theme of Wildflowers, I added butterflies as a natural combination. Our donations will someday help victims to be released from the cocoons of dementia to fly free once again.
Dedication: To my cousin's daughter, Anne, whose Grandmother suffers from dementia and her mother has M.S. .
This quilt is displayed with a traditional sleeve.
This quilt earned $55 for the AAQI.
