Materials/Techniques: Hand painted cotton sky fabric, commercial cottons; Needle turned hand appliqué, raw edge appliqué, machine quilted.
Artist's Statement: I grew up on the Atlantic Ocean, and I still remember walking on the shore with a stiff breeze blowing. The water is so blue, and you can see the wind on it. This quilt makes me think of those walks.
