Materials/Techniques: Rust-Tex and commercial fabrics, machine pieced and machine quilted. Center appliqué, hand-embroidered on the edge with Rust-Tex binding.
Artist's Statement: The focal flower in this quilt is a lily, and its colors are echoed in the fragmented fabric that surrounds it.

Dedication: My grandmother, Sophie Adams, passed away from Alzheimer's many years ago. I hope that a cure will be found, so that no other children ever have to make that statement about their mothers or fathers or grandparents.
