Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics, warm and natural batting, wonder under fusible, hot fix crystals, button. Fused appliqués, cut out dimensional appliqués, quilted, couched metallic thread, fabric paint with glitter.
Artist's Statement: Although I never found flying cat fairies in mama’s garden, this quilt reminds me of the day I came home from school and found mama with my net chasing butterflies around the front yard, trying to catch new ones for my collection. The memory makes me smile and I hope to never forget it.
