Artist's Statement: Appearances can sometimes be deceiving. How a person dresses or behaves may not always define a person's character or a person's worth. Sometimes Alzheimer's patients behave "differently," but that does not define their worth. Inside each Alzheimer's patient is a "Heart of Gold."

Dedication: To Timaree Cheney and her Uncle Victor Richards, a noted transplant surgeon and researcher, who passed from Alzheimer's disease.
