Artist's Statement: The roses in this raw-edge appliqué quilt were cut in swirls, as if they had lived through a Florida hurricane. I liken this to the brains of those suffering with Alzheimer's disease.
Dedication: To my mother, Theresa, whose dementia slowly took her away.
