2950 - Foggy Brain

2950 - Foggy Brain
Donna Royer and Julie Sefton
Winnipeg   Canada Memphis, TN   USA

Width: 9.5"   Length: 7.5"

Designer: This is a collaborative piece - started by Donna in Canada and finished by Julie in Tennessee.

Materials/Techniques: Wool roving, vintage horn buttons.

Artist's Statement: Layered on top is wool roving… stretched and lumpy in spots, in the way that a foggy brain seems clear and bright with some ideas, and then utterly unable to think seconds later... Antique buttons, representing core memories, anchor centers of shrouded embroidery floss spirals of thought... Through the fog, glimpses of a recognizable pattern, just below the surface... just beyond our grasp.
Julie Sefton

Dedication: For those who struggle daily through the fog of Alzheimer's.
