Materials/Techniques: All elements of this quilt are fused. The trees were bare limb designs done in brown and copper, on tan commercial fabric that I painted to show the fall foliage. The background hill is a green on green commercial fabric, also colored with fall colors. The evergreens were cut from a print fabric. The bridge was drawn and colored on commercial fabrics. The raw edge appliqué also quilts the picture.
Artist's Statement: We often went “back east” to visit family. Since it was convenient to go in the fall we often got to see the trees when they were in color.
Dedication: In memory of my late husband and his parents.
This quilt is displayed with Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $89.65 for the AAQI.
