Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabric; velvet ribbon, silk thread.
Artist's Statement: Wanted to make flowers- but wanted a yellow bird in it. Used the ribbon as a frame.
Dedication: For Marlene Slivosky. She is my best friend's sister in law. She is now in a nursing home and is immobile. She got it in her early 40's and is now 51.
This quilt is displayed with a traditional sleeve.
