Artist's Statement: One day Grandma came home from the fish market with art supplies! She had several whole fish wrapped in paper. She set up her easel in a corner of the kitchen, slathered the fish with acrylic paints and pressed them onto her waiting canvas. I was totally amazed; it was the first time I had seen an adult do something so outlandish and so wonderful at the same time.
