Artist's Statement: The little red house reminds me of the phase of her Alzheimer’s disease when people and places seemed hazily, but falsely, familiar to my grandmother. She thought she recognized people in the grocery store even though she was a thousand miles away from her own home. She thought her own house was just around the next corner. Finally, even those false memories were lost, too.

Dedication: This quilt is dedicated to my maternal grandmother, Eleanore Shnaeder, a very talented and special artist who inspired me to become an artist, too.
