2685 – "Rachel" Charm Quilt ($35.00)

Materials/Techniques: Cottons and cotton blends; hand-matched, hand-sewn, and hand-quilted.
Artist's Statement: This design is called a "postage stamp" quilt because all the blocks are so small. It is also a charm quilt, because every block is from a different fabric. (Note: This quilt contains a few non-religious Christmas fabrics.) I call it "Rachel" because that name appears on one of the squares. I enjoyed putting this quilt together. Even though the 71 fabrics are very different, I was reminded of the song that says, "From a distance, there is harmony."
