Laura Keyes Perry
Roanoke, VA USAWidth:
Cotton blends; hand-quilted.Artist's Statement:
The Ford twins were members of the Class of 1932 at John Marshall High School in Richmond, Virginia. Bertha made matching tops from this fabric so she and Beulah could wear them to the 50th reunion. She chose this fabric because the woman looks the way they did in the 1930s. (They never had a monkey, but they did wear cloche hats.) I had to shorten the flapper's legs a bit to get her to fit!
Laura Keyes Perry Dedication:
In loving memory of the Ford Twins, Beulah and Bertha, and in honor of all those who are caregivers to people with this terrible condition.
