Julie Sefton
Bartlett, TN   USA

Width: 8.75"   Length: 11.5"

Materials/Techniques: Sections from one of my jackets, including original buttons.

Artist's Statement: "I'm so sorry ~ that stain cannot be removed." And so, what to do with one of my favorite jackets? Turn the front panels into Priority Quilts!

Wikipedia defines recycling as "...the reprocessing of old materials into new products, with the aims of preventing the waste of potentially useful materials..."

I prefer this thought: "The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity. The creative mind plays with the objects it loves." (Carl Jung).
Julie Sefton

Dedication: In honor and memory of my mother, Lura Irene Ash Walton (1916-2005).

This quilt is displayed with a picture hook.

This quilt earned $40.00 for the AAQI.
