Width: 12"   Length: 9" >

Materials/Techniques: 100% Cotton fabric that I discharged, rayon thread, angelina fiber, my hand dyed fabric, batik fabric-purchased.

Artist's Statement: I made a crappie like the ones we caught and used the discharged fabric background for the water to show the fish swimming from the light and into the dark to represent Alzheimer's and going from understanding (light) and into confusion (dark) .

Dedication: For Aunt Rosie, a special person who took a 5 year old fishing out in a boat while in a dress ( Aunt Rosie never wore slacks, not in the 1950's). Aunt Rosie was an enthusiastic fisherwoman for years and developed Alzheimer's and died in the early 2000's.
