Artist's Statement: My mother died of this disease on Mother's Day, 1990. I pray that a breakthrough is forthcoming in the near future. The disease exacts a great toll on both the patient and caregiver, not to mention all the patient's loved ones. My mother was a 3rd generation quilter and now there are 3 generations following her as quilters.
Dedication: To my mother.
