2528 - Incomplete Life Cycles

Sylvia Weir
Beaumont, TX USAWidth: 8"
Length: 8"
Materials/Techniques: Machine pieced.
Artist's Statement: Life has a beginning, middle, and end. When something like Alzheimer's interrupts that natural cycle, it feels unfinished and raw.
Dedication: In my job, I see folks who suffer from Alzheimer's --- people who have worked hard and now must depend on others to diaper and feed them. It is an undignified way to end life.
