Artist's Statement: My husband is living with a form of dementia similar to Alzheimer's. He used to like to surprise me with flowers. Many times he'd go out to buy a newspaper and come home with a bouquet. He no longer remembers me and, of course, doesn't remember how much I enjoyed his surprise bouquets.
