Materials/Techniques: Designed using a method taught by Katie Pasquini Masopust, where you take a 1" square piece of a photograph and enlarge it and divide it up in geometric shapes. Parrot is built using a piecing/applique method and is made up of many different fabrics. Background and binding are a handdye from quiltersstitchtogether.com. Gold bits on eye are lumiere paint.
Artist's Statement: I love making priority quilts because it's a chance to try out new techniques, use up scraps and have it all benefit a good cause.
