Width: 9"   Length: 12"

Materials/Techniques: Raw edge fabric collage and binding with free motion quilting and beading.

Artist's Statement: The Virgin of Guadalupe (Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe or Virgen de Guadalupe) is the patron saint and symbolic Mother of Mexicans everywhere. I feel a strong connection to Our Lady not only because she is one of Mexico’s most beloved icons, but more importantly, because she offers faith, hope and consolation to those in need.
