Materials/Techniques: This little kimono doll is paper-pieced from high-quality Asian-themed fabrics and is machine-quilted.
Kathy WilhelmsenDedication: The kimono doll is surrounded by Asian symbols significant to both those who have Alzheimer's Disease and those who love them. The inner border of bamboo fabric symbolizes longevity, flexibility, strength, and grace. The outer border of cranes flying through darkness represents peace, long life, and "iyashi," Japanese for healing.
