Arranged by Georgia Solorzano, Sewn by Catherine and Seth Solorzano
Provo, UT USAWidth: 6"
Length: 4"
Designer: Georgia Solorzano
Materials/Techniques: Fabric appliqué, rayon stitching.
Artist's Statement: This is the 3rd of a series of six fabric postcards that my family made for our family night last week. I made this one with six little rectangles because sometimes I feel like our family of six is a bunch of little ones all in a row. My oldest two enjoyed sewing their own postcards so much that they wanted to sew this one too. Catherine (5) and Seth (4) both contributed to the quilting.
Georgia Solorzano Dedication: My sister, Naomi Adams, has a quilt in the Forgetting Piece by Piece exhibit. She inspired us to donate a little of our time to support this great cause. Everyone has known someone who has or had Alzheimer's and it is always devastating.
This quilt has a
plain back.
This quilt earned $30 for the AAQI.
