Materials/Techniques: Commercial fabric, Angelina, metallic thread, appliqué motifs.
Artist's Statement: From a beautiful piece of marbled fabric, I cut out an interesting section. I layered Angelina and then the marbled fabric, and quilted heavily along the marble lines. To anchor the "flames" I appliquéd motifs that I cut out of a rayon lace/embroidered fabric. This piece just seemed to be flames licking at each other.

Dedication: For my three co-workers who are dealing with parents at different stages of Alzheimer's, something I hope my children never have to deal with.
This quilt is displayed with a traditional sleeve.
This quilt earned $40.00 for the AAQI.
