Artist's Statement: The meaning of marriage: what we perceive as being real, versus the reality of what love and commitment truly mean, when faced with life's challenges.

Dedication: For my amazing and wonderful 82-year-old mother, who has survived stage 3b of Inflammatory Breast Cancer for five years, is a fragile diabetic, legally blind and now faces the uncertain future of Alzheimer's. And for my amazing 90-year-old father who is her primary caregiver.
This quilt has a plain back.
