Artist's Statement: It is meant to symbolize the true and deepest meaning of the marriage vows and the challenge that is created for a couple when one of them is diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

Dedication: For my amazing and wonderful 82-year-old mother, who has survived stage 3b of Inflammatory Breast Cancer for five years, is a fragile diabetic, legally blind and now faces the uncertain future of Alzheimer's. And for my amazing 90-year-old father who is her primary caregiver.
This quilt has a plain back.
This quilt earned $30 for the AAQI.
