Artist's Statement: This quilt is in honor of my maternal grandmother. She has Alzheimer’s and I’ve watched her memories fade over the years. Today, she does not remember being married, having children, or being a grandparent. This quilt top symbolizes her fading memories in that the red fades from the top to the bottom of the quilt.
